About

We are one of 53 Local Masters Swim Committees (LMSC) of United States Masters Swimming (USMS). We exist to promote fitness and health in adults by offering and supporting Masters Swimming.

ADMS covers an area of Eastern Upstate New York including the Capital Region communities of Albany, Schenectady, Saratoga Springs and Troy; the great Adirondack Park region including Lake Placid, Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake; Northern New York cities of Plattsburgh, Potsdam, Watertown and Fort Drum; the Erie Canal and Mohawk River communities of Rome, Utica, Little Falls and Amsterdam; the Hudson River communities of Glens Falls, Hudson, Kingston, and Cooperstown, Norwich, Oneonta and the Catskill Park.

Adirondeck Masters holds the following four pool meets each year: a meet in Glens Falls in mid-October, a meet at Hartwick College in late October/early November, a meet at Mohanasen High School in mid-January, and a meet at the Guilderland YMCA in early/mid March. The Adirondack LMSC is also the site for two open water evetns each year, the Betsy Owens / Terry Laughlin Cable swims in Mirror Lake/ LAke Placid in mid-August and the Lake George Open Water RAces in mid to late August.
